As a summer intern at Equinor, you will be joining 20,000 colleagues delivering oil, gas, wind and solar power to 170 million people worldwide. The position
The summer internship programme is aimed at students from the second year of their higher education onwards, from technical and non-technical backgrounds. To be eligible, you must be enrolled as a student between June and August of 2022 and have work eligibility for the country you are applying for.
You will join us on a six-week hybrid programme - partly physical and partly virtual - designed to give you the experience and skills you need in your studies and future career. Working flexibly, you will split your time between working as part of a team within one of our business areas and delivering a group project with several of your fellow interns. In this period, you will have one-week off from the 18 July to the 22 July 2022.

We utilize advanced technologies such as cloud computing, microservice architectures and machine learning to unlock the potential of the vast amounts of data we have.
Cyber security has a high focus in Equinor and is a critical function to safeguard our operations and enable our digital ambitions. The Cyber Defence Center in Equinor is responsible for detecting and responding to cyber threats in IT and IACS (Industrial Automation & Control Systems).

Hands-on experience
You will spend part of your internship working on tasks and projects within the discipline you have applied for, giving you first-hand experience of the strategy, processes and culture in your team. Your hiring manager will be your main point of contact and will be responsible for ensuring you get the most out of your time with us. You will also be allocated a buddy who will provide support and follow your experience in Equinor.
Multidiscipline project delivery
The remainder of your time will be spent working on a group project with other students from a variety of academic backgrounds. Supporting you on this project will be a subject matter expert who will act as a mentor and advisor to your task. Over the course of this project, you will develop key skills such as collaboration, leadership, communication, presentation skills and planning and time management.
Learning and development
We will be delivering a series of learning sessions that provide an overview of our business and introduce you to some of the processes and methods we use at Equinor. These will include introductions to key areas of our strategy such as digitalisation, low carbon projects and our approach to safety and sustainability. You will also get to learn about our approach to project delivery and other methodologies that support our day-to-day deliveries.
